I have always loved how great photographers can capture the beauty and emotion in the world around them. I don't know that I could call myself a great photographer, but I aspire to be one. In photographing my surroundings, I strive to convey the world as I see it: Perhaps I don't typically look at flowers from their undersides or stare into horses' nostrils, but in capturing interesting perspectives of these things I mirror the intrigue that I feel every time I look at them. Photographs remind me of how amazing anything can be when you really look at it, and they remind me of the experience of watching my friend's cat sleep through the morning, of traveling, of discovering a brilliant green lizard perched on my dad's truck. So, I suppose my motivation in taking photographs is to prolong the memory of my experiences and to share that memory with anyone who cares to look. Enjoy!
