There have been very few moments in my life (outside of work, I’m an accountant) that I have not been creating art in one form/medium or another. I’m a self taught artist, with a sprinkling of life and water color classes thrown in.
Artists run in the family, a great great Grandfather, three Uncles and several Cousins are artists. My Mother was an artist and my sister is also an artist. As children we occasionally had our differences on what constitutes “Art” as we struggled to find our own voices. We have grown to be each other’s best support!
I enjoy doing pen & ink sketches, watercolors, acrylics and oils. I'm now exploring digital art. I use Corel Painter 12.2 and a Wacom tablet.
For me inspiration arrives in many disguises, a glimpse of form or color in a crowd, emotions and always music. A sheet of paper or canvas, music filling the room and time stops, the world outside fades and I’m lost in creating.
