With a BS in Outdoor Recreation from San Diego State University, Lee has worked for the National Park Service at Rocky Mountain National Park and at Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. Lee enjoys photographing a variety of natural subjects, including landscapes, wildlife, and wildflowers. National, state, regional, county, and city parks are often featured in his images, with over 50 Parks represented. His love for the parks is reflected in his photography.
In 2008 Lee’s photographs were made into a field guide, Local Wildflowers of San Diego County, published by Local Birds, Inc. Lee’s award-winning photography has also been published in magazines, books, and on various websites, as well as exhibited in the 2009 Best of Nature show at the San Diego Natural History Museum’s Ordover Gallery.
Lee has been fortunate to combine his love for wildlife with a love for photography in his work at the San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park, in the Photo Caravan department. Lee enjoys teaching both photography and conservation.
