I began painting as a hobby in 1999 after the gift of some oil paints and brushes. I had never painted in oils before nor had any formal training. It was a steep learning curve. However after many trials and even many more errors I finally began to get the hang of it. After the downturn of the construction industry in 2008/9 I decided to turn my hand to art and painting as a profession.
