Laurianna is a mostly self taught artist. Like many artists, as a child she grew up with the overwhelming urge to cover every available surface with 'art'. In high school she won first place in a state competition of the three dimensional category and was encouraged by her art instructors to pursue art as a career. After high school a great deal of life happened and art was pushed onto the back burner. Her journey included becoming an internationally certified massage therapist, a dog trainer, (honoring her love of animals) as well as a police dispatcher/911 operator.
Now, Laurianna is a mother and a Neuromuscular therapist in Butte County and once again enjoying her first passion for art. One of her current projects is illustrating a series of children's books written by her sister Myrlia Purcell.
