I think probably the one thing that defines my photography is colour - I try to include it in everthing I do.
I've been obsessed with macro water drops for a while now and living on the coast gives me great access to the ocean, (thank goodness) specifically sunsets - as I'm on the West Coast.
It took me a long time to make the decision to purchase a camera - and if anyone reading this has had a love of photography for as long as they can remember, please don't take 38 yrs to discover the wonder of what you can find and display to the world through a lens. Make it happen, you won't regret it...
Be not afraid of growing slowly,
be afraid only
of standing still...
I'm learning as I go, self taught and am just in the process of trying out different things. It's like anything in life - it's all about discovery.
My camera is a Canon EOS 1000D and my lenses are the 18-55mm, 55-250mm, 50mm macro, 100mm macro and the 100-400mm zoom canon lenses. I guess the one good thing about taking up photography in this day and age is the fact that with the editing programs now available it's become just as much about creating, which I so love to do. It is wonderful to capture a moment in time and then make it your own, take it to another level and create something magical.
I also have another website where you can view my work
There is everything here - Animals/Seascapes/Night photography/Ocean/Sunsets/Flowers/Still life etc. Please have some fun and have a look around. Everything is available as cards/prints/framed prints/posters etc...
