Kristen Massucci

Kristen Massucci is a photographer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania & owner of IMI Image Studio. Her interest in photography began during her college career at Duquesne University, where she graduated with bachelor's degrees in both Entrepreneurial Studies and Digital Media Arts. Since then, Massucci has had the opportunity to travel across the United States photographing for a documentary with the ALT Project (www.thealtproject.com), where she served as director of photography. Her work has been published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, The Pittsburgh City Paper, The Duquesne University Magazine, and The Duquesne Duke.

While she enjoys shooting all genres of photography, Massucci finds the most joy in capturing moments occurring in our natural world. One of the most important lessons learned from exploring the back roads of America was discovering that the most beautiful photographs do not have to be posed or manipulated, but are out there ready and waiting to be captured. Part of the joy of nature and landscape photography is derived from the travel itself, and realizing at the end of the day that the photos you've taken may often be entirely different from the ones you set out looking for.

Massucci works primarily with Canon products, shooting the majority of her shots with a Canon 5D Mark II.
