Welcome to Kip DeVore's landscape interpretations of southeast Missouri in 'The Land of Brigadoon' -- Taum Sauk Lookout, Arcadia Valley...
...where many of these 'plein air' or, that is, open air, location watercolors and other media are done -- in natural light using a portable French easel onsite. Visitors compare the area to the Highlands of Scotland and the town doesn't appear on many maps -- two central story themes of the imaginary Brigadoon and film of Hollywood by that name. So DeVore's paintings and prints might be some of the only evidence that Brigadoon does even really exist -- or ever did exist. Prints of his work are available here in archival, museum-quality paper or canvas and in a variety of framing options and also as a greeting card.
