It came naturally for Kim, to combine her love of art and her career in computer science to become a Fractal Artist. The catalyst was a video of an animated 3D Fractal sent by a friend, an action that has changed Kim Redd’s life forever. Mesmerized by the art and the music to which it was set; she had to know more of course and dove in head first!
Born and raised in the wild and beautiful Pacific Northwest, Kim is no stranger to grandeur, exploration and adventure.
From the wilds of Alaskan fishing villages to the portal of Fractal Art, Kim has had a variety of experiences.
She is a self taught artist who has accomplished much in her brief but productive Fractal Art career.
Already she has had several solo exhibits. Her work can be seen in galleries, office buildings and homes throughout the Pacific Northwest.
The worldwide “deviantArt” Community of which Kim is a member, receives over 100,000 entries per day and yet in two short years Kim has been chosen 4 times for “Daily Deviation Awards.”
Kim will be the first to tell you that Fractal Art is not an exacting science.
Being neither an easy or fast process, it can take hours upon days of manipulations to produce an acceptable piece.
For her it is all pleasure and for that we, the art loving community, are grateful.
