I love it all, and I have no idea what makes me feel like painting a tight still live or landscape, or let go on an abstract. I grew up as a Buckeye in Dayton, OHIO and life was about family, friends, school and work. At age 19, off I went to Europe by sea, landing in Holland just in time to see Keukenhof in bloom. What COLOR! I spent over a year stopping to 'smell the tulips', enjoying COLOR, FACES, LANDSCAPE VISTAS near and far and visited every country possible until my savings expired. When I returned stateside with my little VW Bug, I explored the USA finally settling in Northern California.
I spent my adult career in the wine business and my free time being creative. What gave me the most pleasure was seeing the happiness on someone's face when I presented them with a portrait of themselves, their child, their pet, their home or a painting of something near and dear to them. Today, when I am not working on a commissioned painting, I PLAY at painting.
