During my career as an artist (40-some years) I have studied a little of everything and continue to be challenged. Change is a constant happening - it leads one's creativity to expand and grow. My paintings are spontaneous. They begin as an abstract, and sometimes evolve into landscapes, seascapes, or still life, but nevertheless remain mostly abstract.
Simple, familiar forms with an uncomplicated palette describe how I perceive the world around me. My floral and still life paintings are the result of personal feelings about ordinary objects. Nature has influenced the composition of my landscape and abstract paintings. I'm most satisfied when painting a peaceful 'place to be'.
