I have been drawing and painting on and off my entire life with interruptions to pursue professional degrees and raise my family. My art 'career' began in high school, followed by a year of fine arts training at the University of Kansas; I then pursued a helping profession based in the fine arts department. Since then, I have studied with a number of local artists. My current work is with pastels, acrylics, and watercolor, and recently I have started producing mixed media pieces.
