Hi! I was born in Ohio in the 60's to wonderful parents and one older brother who welcomed me into this world with open arms. In the 70's as I was just entering into pre teen years my parents were getting the itch to move and adventure away from the 'big city life'. Mom had a cousin in SE Alaska so that is where we moved when I was 12 going on 13. It was one of the best moves ever. What an adventure my parents made it! They purchased 5 acres of land, our family of 4 designed and built our new spot in the woods of Alaska in a town of just 1,500 people with the only way in or out by plane of ferry. Our house was an octagon house with a wood stove in the middle for central heating. It still stands to this day with a new roof. My love for Alaska fostered and eventually returned me to this great God's country later after living down south in the big city for 27 years. I married early, have two beautiful grown boys and 2 lovely well adjusted happy grandchildren. Been divorced since 1990 but still have desire and hope that again I will have a friend and partner to spend the rest of my life with. Life is good. Especially since April of 2011, I have once again moved back to the place that is good for the soul, beautiful Alaska. Early on in life I was always interested in photography but never really developed it. Not until I returned to Alaska in 2011 did I pick up a camera and have not been able to put it down! At 52 I have found my passion! I find it amazing that all along I had this eye for photography but never tapped into it, I am just a beginning amature photographer with a simple beat up point and shoot camera, looking forward to learning so much more from others and the world around me. Seriously I am still confused about what all those F-stops, aperture, ISO and such, just let me point and shoot for now :) :) :) I look forward to my journey going forward.
