I grew up in Hershey, PA. When I was 10, my art teacher submitted one of my drawings to the Hershey Chocolate Factory, who would display artwork from local kids. I was more than excited when the Hershey Chocolate Factory hung my illustration of a puppy. After seeing my creation in such a venue, I knew I wanted to be an artist.
For as long as I could hold a pencil or a paint brush, I've been painting and drawing. After graduating from art school, I landed a job as a graphic designer and have been doing art direction and graphic design merely to pay the bills. My true passion is in the area of fine art. I have recently started to paint a series of works that I would like to showcase at one of the local art galleries.
My favorite mediums are oil, acrylic, charcoal, pastels, and the trusty pencil. I’ve recently discovered a new found love for the pencil and have embarked on a sketching journey that is very exciting.
I have a very broad range of painting styles. I suppose my style can be narrowed down to modern impressionism. I have recently discovered a very unique style of painting that involves scraping the paint to create an illusion of figure, shape and design. I’m very excited about it and I hope you will be too.
