More than one type of Animal

A Series of photomontage artwork which presents animals in an artistic and fun way where there is always more than one type of animal, but no people in the work. Where people are included the work will be in the Fantasy Art Gallery. I have always been an animal lover. Since I was a kid I have held a fascination for the animals of our world, large powerful ones and small crawly ones alike. Later on in my life, that fascination turned into a passion for primates, in particular the great apes, as you can see from my Fine Art America avatar. I have literally been on hundreds of visits to zoos, to study gorilla, chimps and other primates, and I have taken thousands of photographs of them. My most exciting venture was a visit to Cameroon in West Africa, to photograph the indigenous primates of a primate rescue centre there. The purpose was to obtain photographs to put into a website that I built for them, as doing my little bit of conservation work for Great Apes [I have done alot more of it since]. What followed was to become my life, and my art. After my adventures in Cameroon, hiking the rain forests and then building the sanctuary website, I was contacted about helping out another sanctuary, by designing some simple posters for them. This, of course, I took on wholeheartedly to carry out some more voluntary work for conservation. That then led to some of my friends aking me if I had considered creating some artwork based on my gorilla photos, and other animals. And the result, is what you see in this art folder. Tigers, lions, bears, rabbits and any other kind of animal I can find, are the subjects of my art. I enjoyed doing this series of work as it was the titles that came to me first. The name, the name and the subject format stuck in my head, and that was it. I spent roughtly two months sourcing the images I would need to create the twelve pieces of work and putting them all together. They have made a lot of people smile since I created them back in October/November 2010, and some of them adorn people's walls in print. How cool is that! I can't ask for more than that - I sure am lucky to be able to please other people, by doing something I love. I have another series, which is all tiger art, which I will upload soon, and then I have a new series in mind.
