Unfortunately creativity is intentionally or unintentionally discouraged at workplaces.
It seems most of us just learn to live day to day without creativity.
As the years passed I began to realize just how important creativity should be to all of us.
When I retired I decided it was time to explore outlets for my creativity.
I soon grabbed some of my wife’s acrylic paints, brushes and a canvas and started painting.
I quickly found that painting was a perfect outlet to convey so many different ideas and expressions.
The outdoors has also been a large part of my life so photographing subject matter to paint or to capture has completely transformed the way I view my surroundings.
It is truly amazing how color, highlights and shadows transform everything we see, that is once you are actually looking for it.
In the words of Rodger Hodgson:
When I was a small boy…. Well, I could see the magic in a day.
