Jonathan began painting at the age of 8 with a private tutor. While in high school, he received special training through the Colorado College and the Marie Walsh Art scholarship program. He studied painting and Illustration at the Pacific NW College of Art, and figure drawing through Willamette University and Chemeketa College.
