I love natural light photography and use it to capture the essence and beauty of people, places and things through the lens of my camera.
Taking photos has been my passion as long as I can remember. My first camera was a little Brownie. I think I was 8 at the time. From that point on I was always the one behind a camera. I have gone entire events, vacations and holidays capturing photos of everything and none of me. I love to capture expressions, funny moments, and beauty as I see it.
My background as an event planner and wedding officiant for the past 15 years has opened my eyes to the possibilities of capturing the best shots. So I ventured out to shot flowers, landscapes, old cars, family and pets. In reviewing the shots I enjoyed only to discover that others enjoyed the moments captured as well. Many began asking for prints to frame.
With my passion growing I launched Joie Cameron-Brown Photography in October 2011.
To date many of my prints have been used as marketing material, web photos, and on a magazine cover for Creative Thought Magazine May 2012 issue. Three prints, “Orchard”, “Orange Flower” and “Daily Life” have been selected as special mentions in the Focus eZine contest for March, April and May 2012. The photos of “Orchard” and “Humming Flower” were featured in the Photography Exhibit at the 2012 Alameda County Fair. My photo of “Graffiti Love” is being featured in Process Magazine Spring 2013 issue.
