I've had a knack for drawing since before I can remember. Unfortunately as a child, I got the impression that you cannot make money through art. Maybe that's true. Maybe not. Nonetheless, I decided to pursue drafting and engineering as a career path and it has treated me well. I stopped drawing artistically altogether around 1999 and instead picked up the guitar. I taught myself to write and play music, formed a couple of bands, and had fun. Here I am 15 years later and I find myself feeling the need to draw again. It's always been there in the back of my mind, nagging me to use it. I even started to wonder if I knew how anymore. So one day I picked up a photograph, started sketching and realized that I still could and it felt good. I've found a rekindled fascination with pulling an image out of nothingness. I'm excited to see where it takes me.
