I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, surrounded by the backdrop of cement, noise, lights and the hustle and bustle of the inner city. I eventually joined the United States Air Force. I retired after serving 26 years and settled in Hampton, Virginia.
My love of photography spans decades and my subjects vary, but I always tend to gravitate more toward nature and wildlife. I’m definitely a detail-oriented person (to the chagrin of some) and I’m always looking to isolate my subject matter in an effort to display its “simple beauty”. For me, the physical process of hunting for and focusing on a subject, in and of itself has therapeutic value; it creates a “white noise” or a very peaceful, and quiet state within - void of the “external noise” we’re bombarded by every day.
Through my vision and photography, I hope you are, or become, increasingly inspired to contemplate the importance of the simple pleasures and gifts that life, in all its forms, has to offer the heart and soul. Should you decide to purchase my “fine art photography” – and I use that term loosely, may it make you smile.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.
