I think...in ink...working with inks and watery-fluid acrylics on synthetic papers, artboards, and recently, silks.
My orgastracts evolve organically. The painting is an unfolding mystery.
I begin thinking only color and composition, then go from there.
Sometimes I am ecstatic over the outcome. Others, well...more tearings for future collages!
My May, 2010, show was a burst of vivid color, 'To Think...In Ink' at Gallery Fifty Six in Memphis.
Presently, I am represented by Harrington Brown Gallery in Memphis, where my paintings have brightened
the upstairs loft during several monthly shows.
Recently, 'Flow,' my latest group of orgastracts, was at Playhouse on the Square for my annual show there.
And, I now have a working studio at Marshall Arts (one block from Sun Studios!), so more room for me to
create and make a wonderful mess.
I've also had solo shows and gallery representation in Portland (OR), Lawrence (KS), and Oxford (MS),
in addition to an eye-opening stint as a fine art gallery curator.
