Thank you so much for visiting. I have given Fine Art America permission to print my copyrighted photos seen here.
Learning about my subjects and how to capture their unique beauty is a never ending journey. That's the great thing about photography, there is always something new to learn. New techniques and ideas that I can learn from the masters of the past, or from my friends and mentors in the present. I marvel at the beautiful art that I see here and it inspires me to continue to work and expand my experiences. I hope you enjoy what I am doing as much as I do.
When I was a young girl, I would think, “wow, that would make a great photo,” a lot. I guess I said it out loud because someone put a Kodak Brownie in my hands and opened a new window to the world. For a shy tomboy, behind the camera was the perfect place to be. Those early photos were often fuzzy and more than a little off, but it didn't deter me, obviously. Fifty years, two children, college, a progression of cameras, and lots of bumps and band-aids later, I’m still behind the camera and shooting from the heart.
Life is so short and precious. Take care and have fun.
Jane opened Jane Eleanor Photography in Dec. 2010 after retiring from her job in conservation. Jane’s photographs have been part of two traveling exhibits for the National Wildlife Refuge system. They have been chosen for inclusion in five Missouri Natural Events Calendars, including the cover of the 2011 edition. They are being used for plant I.D. signs in native plant demonstration gardens across Missouri, and in conservation education programs. Jane’s photographs and cards are for sale in a local gallery as well as here on Fine Art America.
