Hand painted digital oil
My work is hand painted digital oil art in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and digital oil software. Digital painting differs from other forms of digital art, particularly computer-generated art, in that it does not involve the computer rendering from a model. Hand painting techniques are used to create the digital oil painting directly on my PC, by using a Wacom tablet, a stylus pen and ArtRage painting software. The Wacom tablet can be compared to a canvas or watercolor paper surface. The stylus pen is my paintbrush.
Brush techniques include:- oil brush, which I have set up to different settings of pressure, loading and thinner levels and also customize as required in both square and round brush. Paint tube, mainly for background work. Palette knife set to many varying levels of pressure and shaping. Airbrush, used only for shading work. Brush strokes are often visible in my work.
