I have always been involved in some sort of
creative endeavor. Moving paint around on the canvas since 1960. From airbrush art to acrylic and oils, I have ventured on a lifetime
of Techniques and explorations. However, my true passion is abstract expressionist painting and mixed media art.
Using paint, paper and other materials I create a mood on canvas.
Through colors and composition, I attempt a sponteniety of random brush strokes that
give an urban look.
In Much of my mixed media work I use images taken around town. My street photography
is used in my art. Old billboards, signs and buildings. What ever catches my eye.
Most often I'm asked if i have a visual image in my minds eye before I begin.
I may begin with some concept in mind, but more often than not the painting
takes on a new life as the process is unfolding.
If you buy directly from an artist, they get what they should. After all, it's their blood, sweat and tears.
As apposed to buying from a gallery where typically there is a 50/50 split. And if they are with
an honest gallery they will get that 50%. However, many unscrupulous galleries
rip artists off in more ways than one. So remember, support the artist, not the gallery
