Series - Wet Paint
Brilliant colors, crazy abstracts bubble gum pop music and hair bands. It was the 80's when I realized that being an artist is what I wanted to be. My fascination with wet paint was one of the very things that attracted me to learning more about art. Unfortunately my artist education has been limited due to real life obstacles. 15 years passed. Despite the every day situations we are placed in trying to make a living, I have tried hard to follow a creative path and started focusing on art again. Practicing over and over exploring new styles and learning how to be the artist I have always dreamed of. Although I am proud of all of the series I have shared with you, this new series is one that is close to my heart. When I paint, I do so because of the process and not because of the end product. As much as I have tried to have the patience to restrain myself from using brilliant colors it has been difficult. This series shows a little bit of both of my creative outlets, painting and photography. Each moment I paint is something that fascinates me. At times, too much as the paint will end up drying while I admire the last movement of my knife. The colors are always different and intriguing to me. Ultimately, each time I add more paint, the painting changes and this is what I enjoy so much. I decided to take photos of my process so you could enjoy the amazing color combinations that flow into the other as much as I do. This is why I paint. This is why I will never stop.
