Jack Malipan is born to artistic British and Polish parents, who give him his first camera on holiday aged 14, and the boy is hooked documenting every aspect of the journey.
This soon leads to 4 years studying Photography in the UK, starting at Filton College and finally graduating from the renowned Falmouth College of Art.
Also attended professional workshops on Photojournalism and Lighting with the BBC.
In 1996 starts working in London shooting Editorial/Press for magazines, events and PR firms.
After moving to Portugal in 1999 a chance meeting leads to shooting model portfolios and since then he evolves to work mostly in Fashion and Advertising, based in Portugal, Sweden, UK, Thailand and now South Korea.
In Fashion had a prolific career in Portugal shooting campaigns, editorials and catalogues for the leading national brands and agencies.
Internationally he has worked mainly around Europe and Asia for major clients like Nivea, Getty and Sols, and magazines like Cosmopolitan, FHM and Joy.
In Advertising his clients include shopping malls, casinos, beverage companies, music labels, real estate, resorts and government commissions among others.
Apart from the focus on fashion based Advertising, he also covered a range of specialties from Lifestyle for Thai resorts, Product for Portuguese beverages, Conceptual for Belgian cosmetics and even a Canadian diamond campaign with Miss Universe.
Since 2005 he mixes the Studio work with spells shooting Travel and Lifestyle for Image Agencies in the UK, USA, Germany and Australia specialized in Asia and the Middle East, a partial return to his roots in Photojournalism.
In 2010 he relocates to Asia, first Thailand and now South Korea, where he lectures Photography at the KUB School of Design of Konkuk University.
