Inge Wright is a multimedia artist who trained as a printmaker. She holds a BA degree in Art from the University of South Alabama and also studied art at the University of Texas and the Central School of Art and Design in London.
She has just returned to the States after living for many years in England where she taught art in the Oxfordshire educational system while raising her family.
Her interests in nature and people led to her experiment with a wide variety of subjects. She feels that many observations and themes can be interpreted in just the right media, for example a combination of monoprinting with watercolor and acrylic, or a simple oil painting. It is always the excitement of the subject first observed and brought to life on paper or canvas in the appropriate media..
She has won numerous awards in America and England. Her juried exhibitions include The Society of Graphic Artists and The Royal Society of Printer-etchers and Engravers at the Bankside Gallery in London, the Royal West of England Academy Autumn Exhibitions in Bristol, MOMA Wales Tabernacle Exhibition and the Museum of Art in Birmingham.
Her work is in private and public collections in America, England, Germany and Austria.
