Born in 1971 in Colombo city, and now based in Meegahawatta Kiribathgoda area, having inborn talents in fine Arts, currently serving in the Sri Lanka Army as a Commissioned Officer.
When my childhood I participated many National level Art competitions and won prizes/certificates many times. After I Joined the army I have continue my fine arts works & done some fine arts sculptures/ creations to the Army Gamunu Watch Museum & Officers Mess Ratnapura. After the end of terrorist war, I started sports of Archery and selected to the National team. Due to that I have release from other duties from the army & have more time as leisure I focused to enhance my talent in fine arts.
In 2002 2008 I followed the Diploma course in Vibhavi Academy of fine Arts, which is well reputed Academy in Sri Lanka. I completed Foundation Drawing, Foundation Painting, Foundation Sculpture, Line Drawing,Figure Drawing, Figure Painting & history of Fine Arts.
Since I am deep in touch with nature, I focus my arts skills in to painting realistic. Especially I am having personnel interest in Still Life paintings and figurative paintings.

The style of my artwork is modern, yet classical/ traditional and contemporary. The compositions and technique I use is influenced and inspired by the realism and romanticism of my favourite Baroque Masters (Dutch Golden Age paintings) and their wonderful, timeless masterpieces. Especially Johannes Vermeer .
