Artist Statement:
I do art mostly because I want to forget about the universe, everybody. I want be in my little world (me and me again). But when I lock the doors in my little world and pick up paintbrush, pencil, ink and observed the space around me, I see always something different and I get so thrilled that I work as fast as I can with the passion that I forget myself (I don't think anymore, I don't feel my body). After the work (when I stop), I realize that I didn't exist�

Ieva Andersone was born in Latvia in 1985. She studied art after school for 4 years in Ventspils Art School. Andersone came to Ireland on 2003, but on 2004 she started to study in Drogheda Institute of Further Education, where she completed with distinction in painting and drawing in Portfolio Preparation course. Now she is graduate in Dublin Institute of Technology BA in Fine art.

Shows/Exhibitions:
In 2008 I was part of the 8>20 group exhibition along with other artists from DIT, which was curated by Linda Quinlan and Mark Garry. Also participated in the Design Week exhibition in DIT
