GALLERY 32 FINE ARTS was founded in 2002 by Brigitte Saint-Ouen and exhibits a wide range of quality art works from 16th Century Masters to 21st Century Contemporary artists. We specialize in 19th Century European painting, Contemporary Art, with a large collection of Outsider Art, and Contemporary Fine Art photography. The Gallery has a large and affordable selection of European paintings and Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works by such artists as Armand GUILLAUMIN, but the collection also includes many Contemporary works including Contemporary Fine Art photography by world-renowned travel photgrapher Peter GUTTMAN and famed British photographer Jocelyn BAIN HOGG. We also exhibit a significant selection of OUTSIDER art.
Outsider Art is created by a rich and varied group of individuals and resists categorical artistic identification. These works are truly unique; created by self-taught men and women “outside” of the normal realms of art and society. Naïve visionaries, psychiatric patients, the innocent, the intuitive and the eccentric are a just a small sampling of the backgrounds of these dynamic and amazing artists. Our Gallery is proud to exhibit the amazing works by such artists as Danielle Le Bricquir and Philippe Aini.
GALLERY 32 FINE ARTS pays special attention to each piece in the collection, as we understand the necessity for exceptional quality and authenticity in every new acquisition. We are proud to present a visual paradise to those looking for everything from Old Masters to French Impressionists and Post-Impressionists to the finest Contemporary artists.
Unlike many other galleries, GALLERY 32 FINE ARTS endeavors to break down the barriers that exist between the traditional and the contemporary work of new artists. Consequently, on one wall of the gallery you might see a beautiful 19th Century Impressionist oil on canvas and in another room, you might find an bizarre mixed media sculpture by an Outisder artist. Created by a rich and varied group of individuals, Outsider Art resists categorical artistic identification. These works are truly unique; created by self-taught men and women “outside” of the normal realms of art and society. Naïve visionaries, psychiatric patients, the innocent, the intuitive and the eccentric are a just a small sampling of the backgrounds of these dynamic and amazing artists. The term Outsider Art was created as the English equivalent to the French Art Brut, first defined by painter Jean Dubuffet to explain art he saw being produced outside of the mainstream in the 1940s in France. Gallery 32 Fine Arts is proud to represent several established Outsider Artists including Danielle LeBricquir, Joaquim Baptista-Antunes and Philippe Aini.
GRAMERCY 32 FINE ARTS maintains a standard of artistic excellence in the field of contemporary photography, showing the remarkable work of British photographer Jocelyn Bain Hogg, including his haunting portrait of Angelina Jolie entitled Star. Named after our Founder and Director, gallery brigitte saint ouen will initially exist as a virtual gallery as we search for the perfect physical space, and it will showcase our entire Contemporary collection, including painting, photography and Outsider Art.
Our continued growth is transforming the Gallery into a remarkable space that presents an unparalleled yet focused variety of artists, styles and mediums. As the art market becomes truly global and our collection becomes increasingly diverse, we encourage our ever-growing audience to explore and appreciate artistic ideas and talents both familiar and unknown.
