Growing up in East Tennessee as the son of an engineer for Eastman/Kodak, I had access to the recreational studios and darkrooms from an early age. I whiled away many a summer day with a loaner camera taking photos of whatever caught my eye, and then spent many an afternoon experimenting with darkroom techniques. Changing over to digital photography was a natural progression, but I still miss those early days with an enlarger and the pungent smell of photographic chemicals.more
