Coffeespills

These images are all derived from spilt coffee! What you see in the painting is what I saw in the spill shortly after the coffee was spilt. I prepare my coffee with a 'Melitta' type coffee filtering system with Turkish ground coffee beans. It takes a couple of minutes, but a good cup of coffee is worth the wait! By pouring to much water in the filter holder, some brewed coffee will ultimately spill over the top of the cup, thusly creating a "coffeespill". Try it yourself... it's a great imagination stepping stone. Guaranteed you'll never have "painters block" again.
