ICONIC SYMBOLISM
Hello and welcome to my page,
ICONIC SYMBOLISM--the name I gave to most of my art pieces,basically founding or describing and establishing NEW style in art)))).
The main feature of it is : small size canvas,lavishly decorated,utterly colorized with unlimited gold (gold leaf) applications,very often with a glass window to protect fragile pieces of an item.
Artistic-Canvas-Textures-Frames and Colors-is a slogan,precisely explaining the core of the style: frame,canvas and even spirit have to play together,producing synergy of unseen before art.
Enjoy your time here, joining me on my journey of exploring the mysterious and beautiful interplay of colors, textures in my art work, in which the frames are equally as important part of my art as canvas.
In most of my art works I use torching technique for adding golden or silver leaves to the textured canvas and frames, adding “3rd dimension” to the art pieces.
BIO: Ukrainian-born,Russian speaking aspiring Canadian artist. Lives in Toronto since 1998.
Has tried and pursued different professions and hobbies: from shoe-making to high-end antique furniture restoration.
Has developed passion for abstract paintings which may include some unexpected pieces such as antique door knobs carefully selected and placed on the painting to add “the 3rd dimension” to his work.
Eugene admires art of Gustav Klimt. He is inspired by the period of Art Deco..
