Erika Swartzkopf is a visual, psychedelic watercolor artist on the island of Oahu.   Originally from Pennsylvania, she has lived in Hawaii since 1989 and the beauty of the mountains and the ocean inspire her artwork daily.   She uses the brightest possible watercolors and juxtaposes them with gold, water-based acylic paint.   She uses contrasting abstract shapes to form interesting sea creatures and forest-like beings.   She thinks people could benefit from the happiness of color in these trying economic times and she tries to spread a side-order of aloha from Hawaii to the rest of...more
