Elizabeth D'Angelo was born on June 30th, 1980 in Denver, Colorado. She earned her BFA in Electronic Intermedia and a minor in Art History from the University of Florida and studied Art History in Florence, Italy.
D'Angelo's paintings often speak of a utopia of balance, health, and wellness and the human struggle for these. She has taught classes and workshops for adults and children at Callanwolde Fine Art Center in Atlanta, GA as well as private lessons in her studio. She received an artist Grant from the Fulton County Arts Council in 2006 and was blessed to get the opportunity to do an artist residency at the Hambidge Center for Creative Arts in April of that year. She received the Coordinator's Choice Award at the Candler Park Fall Festival in 2007 and Best in Show at the Inman Park Festival in 2008. She has exhibited at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum in Ormond Beach Florida in 2008 and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia’s “MOCA GA Salutes the Rising Movers and Shakers of the Georgia Art Scene” in 2009.
