Artist Statement
My mixed media pieces reflect both my love of the Ocean and my concern for all the creatures that live there. As an avid SCUBA diver I have witnessed first hand both the vast beauty below the surface and the pressures that we place on this amazing space. My current work focuses on the ways that the Ocean and man interact and what may come from these continued meetings. In my most recent charcoal drawings I question what the underwater inhabitants might do with the now prevalent plastic component of their lives. I am imagining how the animals could use...more
