For almost 30 years, Donny has been creating art for the enjoyment of others. In college, Donny was a cartoonist for the Daily Lobo. After graduating college with a Bachelor’s of Science Donny joined the United States Navy and became a helicopter pilot. Serving on Marine Corps Base Kaneohe, in beautiful Hawai’i, for HSL-37, made Donny the pilot he is today. After Hawai’i, Donny attended law school at Golden Gate Law School in San Francisco and the Universite Paris X Nanterre in Paris, France. Immediately after passing the California Bar Exam, on the first try, Donny opened his own Law Office in Oakland, California. With the help of his friends and mentors, his practice grew and moved to San Francisco, California.
Donny then set his sights back to Albuquerque, New Mexico. After passing the New Mexico Bar Exam, again on the first try, he went to work for Johnson Family Law P.C.
Shortly after starting his first year at Johnson Family Law P.C. Donny was called up to serve in Baghdad, Iraq. He was in charge of mitigating the economic damage due to the loss of the military in Iraq and was credited with saving thousands of Iraqi jobs. He used some of his spare time in Baghdad creating art for his fellow service members and appeared on the cover of the Tigris Times for his art at the end of his tour.
When he returned to Albuquerque he continued practicing law.
Then he decided to show and sell his work after one of his friends had great success with is art.
