...So--about me. I live and work in St. Augustine, Fl. for which I am very grateful as I am very close to the sea. The sea is a great source of inspiration for me as well as a balm for my soul. I love color, and texture, and patterns, and especially the feel of paint. Then I discovered pastels--another medium I could get my hands into-literally. There's something about the feel of my hands, with or without a brush, moving color around that truly satisfies me. I use a lot of vivid colors and drama in my work. I love to experiment with varied materials and color combinations. I have been painting for over 20 years.
My process doesn't start with a plan, it starts with fluid paint, color harmonies, and texture, and builds from there. My personal style comes from the decisions I constantly make along the way, fueled by the flow of imagination and freedom of discovery. Each unique work is in its own way a haven for me while I work.
