Donna Thomas, an accomplished equestrian artist, lives in the Sandy Springs area of Atlanta. She employs a number of techniques in her mainly large art works including palette knife in oil, drips with medium, photo encaustic (wax), and enhanced digital photography. She is the founder of The Art School in Sandy Springs in Atlanta where she is one of the oil and photo encaustic instructors and provides workshops throughout the southeast. She is past owner and curator of the GASP Gallery at TULA on Bennett Street. This year, she co-authored a book titled 'A Studio Guide to Creating Encaustic Art'. Donna has been a featured radio guest regarding the arts in Atlanta. 'Horses in Art' magazine in California has featured her equestrian art work. Last month, she received an invitation for a competition in designing the equestrian automobile tag for the state of Florida. She will co-chair an art event in 2009 benefitting TREES ATLANTA.
