The secret artist, Donna Chaasadah, (Lady of Mercy) aka. Belladonna, feels that she is a soul born from a far away secret star and brought to this planet where she is invisible and can only be seen through leaving a legacy in the art world.
As a child, she was very sickly and found great comfort in “paint by number sets” to pass the time. Through years of dedication and practice these paint sets were responsible for setting her off on the road to becoming an avid artist. With over 25 years of experience using mediums such as fine oils, acrylics, and soft pastels she has gained a skill that is unsurpassed. She has had her art hung in museums in Ohio, Galleries in Las Vegas, Hawaii, Germany, and Amsterdam. Many collectors around the world have been moved her many different styles and have commissioned private works from her. Her pieces are in homes around the world and yet she still remains humble.
“I am viewed as having a kind of eccentric personality, as the masters of the past and present, but in truth I feel that a creative spirit follows and accompanies me, actually doing all the work through me, using me as a vessel to portray the many facets and dimensions of life on this planet. I feel I am not responsible for the art that I do …when stepping back from a piece, I do not feel that it was me who painted the art but I felt the presence of another.
Although having the ability to paint in many styles I am very reclusive when it comes to presenting my creative abilities to the public. My style is hard to put in one category, being I paint in all genres. I paint how and where the spirit takes me.
I hope the spirited feeling I had when painting these pieces will bring you joy and peace for many years to come.”
