When my mood hits the skids, I reach for my camera and/or computer. Years ago, my main creative outlet was ink, graphite and Prismacolor pencils on Canson paper. I drew caricature portraits almost constantly. Technology (Photoshop and digital cameras) has replaced paper, pens, and the mess they made, and blessed me with the unimaginable freedom to create. I make pictures of my favorite things: dogs, books, dried leaves, flowers and people. I'm spellbound by light and shadow, reflection, color, angles, textures and people's faces. Aside from three Photoshop classes and several drawing classes, I've learned what I know by trial, error and lots of books. Much remains to be learned!
