I have been interested in art since Kindergarten. It was my favorite subject in school - receiving good grades, probably for effort! My 'formal' instruction consists of 2 years of High School art classes. I discovered early on that drawing and painting are the best ways for me to display and describe myself and my emotions. I think I do my best work when I'm anxious or upset - kinda crazy? I love the outdoors, plants and animals of all kinds and all things Irish. I wasn't able to take a decent photograph until Mother's Day of this year(2005)when my husband bought a Kodak Easy Share 7950. I've been having a ball with it ever since! I love to draw, paint, sculpture, etc. and have been known to create artistic things from an array of ojects, media... I close with a quotation from my favorite poet, William Butler Yates - 'Hope and Memory have one daughter and her name is Art...O beloved daughter of Hope and Memory, be with me for a little.'
