Diana Moya

Since I was very young I always loved drawing and painting. I never imagined that my love will eventually become my profession.

I am a freelance artist, which gives me more time to work on my own art. Because of the freedom of freelancing, my creative life today is much more interesting since the diversity of the work is so great. I do portraits, murals and special commissions to compliment high-end corporate decor.

I was born in Venezuela, settled in New England in 1976. My formal education is in architecture and interior design, however my artistic abilities were expanded in Mexico City where I studied and experienced the Fine Arts. I started my career there in 1989, as I developed my own artistic language. Since then, I've exhibited my work in many solo and group shows and my artwork is collected in the US, Latin America, and Europe.

I've lived in Texas since 1992. As a resident of the city of Frisco I chose the old downtown water tower as one of my favorite subjects, developing a collection of paintings and limited edition prints. My colorful version of the welcoming old Frisco water tower is now used to promote the historic downtown, the downtown merchants association, local networking sites, and many community events.

I am the past president of the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco 2005-2008, a dynamic supporter of the Frisco Association for the Arts and other community organizations.
