As a child, I was small... Let's try again... I was a kid with a camera who liked to chase fire engines. That's better! As a small child, fire engines fascinated me. I guess it was natural that when I started shooting pictures at about 15 or 16 I wanted to photograph accidents and fires and try to sell the pictures to newspapers. Retro Photos

During the second half of the 1960s and most of 1970s I lived, breathed and worked as a photojournalist. It was my passion until another passion of mine, flying, eclipsed it. During my 10+ years in photojournalism was immersed in the art and craft of news photography. All of that was during the shoot-develop-print era. Mostly 35mm black and white film and color slides. I made thousands of photos -- my favorites are on display and for sale in this gallery.
