Wildbird Rookery 2011

Orlando Florida's Gatorland hosts an annual wild bird rookery in the middle of the gator pond. The birds seek the protection the alligators provide from predators such as raccoons and snakes. The boardwalk allows photographers on the boardwalk to be very close to nesting birds in a non-threatening way.
