Dan Nadeau is a 56 year old artist that began painting 11 years ago.Dan paints in an impressionistic style and incorporates some abstract imagery in his paintings. His medium is acrylic on canvas and wood and an occasional oil painting. Landscapes and seascapes are the typical works Dan paints. Primary influences in his artwork came from his mother Estelle a great artist in her own right in the 1960's whose life was cut short by Breast and Lung cancer at the age of 56. Other influences include his maternal grandfather that worked sculpting wrought iron and brass into statues, candelabras, church crosses, gates and terrazzo designed floors featuring church window impressions. Dan as a young man was an talented musician playing the clarinet in wind ensembles, bass guitar in jazz bands and earned a scholarship in music to attend university. His musical performances were with some major players in the Philadelphia region.
