I am blessed to live in an area where we can view animals like the Mountain Lion my Animal Gallery. Toponas, a town in South Routt County, aquired it's name from the Ute Indian word for the Mountain Lion. The image of the cat depicted here resided at the Sonora Desert Preserve in Tuscon Arizona. Locally they are rarely seen in the wild, but I did have one residing in the old basement of the house I live in today. Some of the animals captured here are captive in a reserve. Some are wild. Many can be dangerous to enocunter in any environment.
