I think I have always drawn. I was pretty much self taught until 2010 when I decided to go back to school. It's a work in progress but is something I really enjoy.
I work primarily with digital media--Corel Painter, Adobe Photoshop etc-- but I do also work with traditional paints, pencil, and sometimes sculpt. More recently, I am delving into illustrating children's books. All of my work is my own, including the myriad reference photos I use.
I have no real rhyme nor reason when I paint... I paint what catches my eye, or what pops into my head when I hear a song. Its all about what moves me at the time. As a result, you will see a variety of subjects in my work. If I have a focus, it would be the world around us. The animals, landscapes, children and their pets, all of this can be, and often is, my inspiration. A trip to the park or zoo is always a treasure trove in photos for me to later draw or paint from!
In addition to my work here at Fine Art America, you can also find my work on a variety of items in my Zazzle store at http://www.zazzle.com/crossmandesigns*
