Posthumously Presented Artwork Of Sachi Spohn

Print sales will be divided between our two daughters.................... © All artwork is owned by Cliff Spohn and is copyrighted by Cliff Spohn ©........................ I am posthumously presenting some of Sachiko's artwork here because I know it is something she would have wanted. Creating art was a very private and personal thing to her, she would rather give you a painting or drawing than sell it to you. Although she could do, and did, very traditional type watercolor, she was always pushing into new directions. Sachiko had a wonderful sense of design and composition, and there too pushing in new directions. She was always drawing and working out designs which she would turn into paintings. She was an excellent seamstress, when we met she was creating abstracted soft sculpture plus her painting. She had always wanted to see her work made into greeting cards. She use to make her own cards, I would photograph her art and she would make cards from those and give them to people, they in turn would frame or treat the cards as art. Sachi tried three times to get her worked published by different publishers, all turning her down at the last minute, and as one would expect, got very disillusioned with the idea of getting worked published. She had taken a big break in her artistic life to raise two incredibly talented and beautiful daughters. She passed away in November 2009.
