Claude Arango

I have always been an artist, even when I wasn't painting. I have a need to create. I write short stories, and create music videos, which can be found on my blog, Rio Sul ( www.riosul123.blogspot.com ) I reside in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. My work background is in Work Comp. Law, I studied and practiced Workers Compensation Law in California for 17 years. In my youth, I studied at the Philadelphia Museum College of Art and after serving in the US Air Force, as a Crews Chief, on a KC 135 Air Refueling Tanker, for four years during the Viet Nam war. I moved to Sweden and studied art at the Booberg Institute in Stockholm, Sweden for five years. I also studied digital media art at Santa Monica College in California in 2003 and 2004. I prefer to work in oils on canvas, creating contemporary art, abstract, portraits and nudes. I have been exploring digital art for the pass seven years with Giclee presentations on matte canvas and museum matte archival paper. I have had shows in Los Angeles, Stockholm, Philadelphia, Rio de Janerio, San Diego, Tijuana, Mexico. I paint for myself, and I no longer accept corporate or private commissions for portraits. My personal mission is to promote and gain acceptance of Digital Art as a true fundamental art form.
